1. What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on the user’s browser or device (computer, tablet or mobile phone) when they visit it. Cookies allow the Website to remember information about the visit —such as the preferred language, the products in the cart or the session data—, facilitate browsing and, where applicable, obtain statistical information or display personalised content.
The term «cookies» also includes other storage and data-retrieval technologies with analogous functionality, such as local storage, session storage, pixels or web beacons (web beacons) and device identifiers, to which this same Policy applies.
2. Do cookies process health data?
The cookies used on the Website do not collect or process health data (lens power, optical prescription or other special-category data under article 9 of the RGPD). The clinical information derived from the prescription is managed exclusively within the scope of in-person care by the registered optician-optometrist, in accordance with the provisions of our Privacy Policy, and never through browsing cookies.
3. Types of cookies we use
3.1. According to the entity that manages them
- First-party cookies: are sent and managed from the equipment or domains of the owner of the Website itself, from which the service requested by the user is provided.
- Third-party cookies: are sent and managed by an entity other than the owner of the Website (for example, the e-commerce platform, analytics tools, the payment gateway or social networks). The data collected by these third parties is also governed by their own privacy and cookie policies.
3.2. According to their purpose
- Technical or necessary cookies: essential for the Website to function and for the user to browse and use its features, such as accessing secure areas, managing the shopping cart, carrying out the payment process, remembering the items in an order or controlling security. These cookies are exempt from the consent requirement under article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE, as they are strictly necessary to provide the service expressly requested.
- Preference or personalisation cookies: allow information to be remembered so that the user accesses the service with certain characteristics, such as the language, country, currency or the appearance of the interface.
- Analytics or measurement cookies: allow the number of visitors to be quantified and the way the Website is used to be analysed statistically and in aggregate form, in order to improve the range of products and services.
- Marketing or behavioural advertising cookies: store information about users’ behaviour in order to display advertising or relevant content based on a profile built from their browsing habits. On the Website they are only activated with the user’s express consent.
3.3. According to their duration
- Session cookies: collect and store data only while the user browses the Website; they are deleted when the session ends or the browser is closed.
- Persistent cookies: the data remains stored on the device for a defined period, which may range from a few minutes to several years, and may be processed during that time by the party responsible for the cookie.

4.5. Social network and marketing cookies (third-party)
- This Website does not currently use third-party advertising pixels (Meta/Facebook Pixel, Google Ads). Embedded videos are served through youtube-nocookie.com, which does not install cookies unless the user plays the video. Purpose: integration of social network content, measurement of campaigns and, where applicable, personalised advertising. These cookies are only installed with the user’s express consent. Duration: up to 12 months.
The installation of third-party cookies may involve the international transfer of data to the United States or other countries outside the European Economic Area (for example, in the case of Shopify, the analytics providers or the social networks). Such transfers are covered by the mechanisms provided for in the RGPD, such as adherence to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the signing of Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. You can consult the details in our Privacy Policy.
5. Legal basis and consent
Technical or necessary cookies are exempt from the requirement to obtain the user’s consent under article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE, as their sole purpose is to enable communication or to provide the information society service expressly requested by the user, ensuring the correct operation of the Website.
The remaining cookies (preferences, analytics and marketing) are only installed with the user’s prior, free, specific, informed and unambiguous consent, expressed through the cookie banner. Consent may be withdrawn at any time, without this affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent given prior to its withdrawal.

- Configure your preferences, selecting by category which cookies you wish to authorise.
Until you give your consent, no cookies other than technical or necessary ones will be installed. You may modify or revoke your choice at any time through the cookie settings panel available on the Website the consent banner of the Website itself (where applicable) or your browser settings.
